After approximately 10 years of working with students both nationally and internationally, Terry saw a commonality between students that helped those students succeed in their musical abilities. Maestoso Press, Inc. is a music store with the purpose of training and motivating your students.
Terry began working with her mother Naomi Martin, a piano teacher of over 40 years, when she was in High School, Terry understands the power of music and the importance of teaching students to appreciate good music and establish strong music standards. Terry has learned how to guide the student to the instrument that they will be the most successful and teach the student to love the music the instrument makes. With proper guidance the student , at the end of High School, should be ready to play in your churches orchestra.
A native of Michigan, Terry Schipplein earned her bachelor's degree in Bible and Music Education. She also earned a master's degree in education. For 38 years she has taught music in the primary, high school and college levels in Michigan, Indiana and China. She has also worked as a music director in various churches and schools, preparing many vocal and instrumental ensembles to perform on a weekly basis. Her duties have also included pianist/organist. Terry is proficient in multiple instruments, including the French horn, euphonium, guzheng, trombone, and trumpet. Her heart's desire is to train church musicians so that they glorify Jesus Christ in their performances. Terry has found that there is an art to learning how to perform properly and she wants to teach it to musicians young and old alike. When not writing and composing, Terry also is an adjudicator. She currently makes her home in Indiana, where she is active in her church and maintains a private studio.
